Coral Essentials Coral Power Trace A

--
Our Coral Essentials Coral Power Trace A is a blend of strontium (50,000 ppm) and barium. Strontium in natural seawater is on the order of 8-10ppm. Maintaining strontium at this level is advisable and not outside the 5-15ppm range. Anecdotal evidence has shown that strontium below 5 ppm in the marine aquarium is detrimental to coral growth. For advanced aquarists, strontium levels in saltwater aquariums should be checked regularly to determine absorption in the system. Calculate strontium usage by testing regularly, then simply calculate dosage requirements to fit the rate of exhaustion. Then keep a strontium level check every week or two.
Average Dosage: it is advisable to dose 1 drop (0.05 ml) / day for every 100 liters of water. If the results are good and based on the density of the coral, you can steadily increase to 2-3 drops (0.1-0.15ml) / day over a period of about a month. Do not dose more than 4 drops (0.2 ml) / day for every 100 l of water.

For the advanced aquarist 0.1 ml (2 drops) the strontium levels are increased by 0.05 ppm (mg / L) for every 100 l of water. If the rate of strontium depletion is known, dose accordingly.

Manual dosage: At Coral Essentials we know that all aquariums are different, all marine aquarists are different, there is no "one size fits all". For this simple reason we have developed a range of products that appeal to advanced hobbyists for the first time. Many of us sit somewhere in between, Coral Essentials has everyone covered.
The dosage of our Power Trace range is determined by the amount of SPS stony corals in the aquarium. Even if your aquarium may be full if it is not SPS dominant, then the dosage of Power Trace A, B and C will need to be reduced. See aquarium images below for approximate densities of low, medium and high SPS dominant systems. Aquariums with SPS or Acro Frags are also considered Low SPS. It is the same for the other mixes of minor elements we supply. It is always best to keep an eye on coral when starting to dose new products, systems or the like. Your keen eye and quick observation of any changes to your aquarium coral are the best defense against incorrect dosing. If you notice any undesirable changes in the coral (RTN, color fading, etc.), discontinue administration immediately.

Dosage outside the values indicated below is the sole responsibility of the aquarium owner. For the heavy dominant SPS system these values can easily be exceeded to obtain further positive results. However, care must be taken and very careful monitoring of coral and water chemistry is required.

We regularly recommend ICP water chemistry tests. At the very least, test NSW Strontium Levels (for Trace A), Iron and / or Manganese Levels (Trace B) Levels of Iodine and / or Fluorine (Trace C). The same should be done for, Bromide, Boron and Potassium.

METODO CORAL ESSENTIALS:
The addition of trace elements proportional to the addition of calcium and carbonate in a marine aquarium is a well-known integration technique. The best known method is the Balling Method. We have developed our method, based on the Balling Method, which we call the Coral Essentials method, using our Coral Power Trace-A, B and C.

Other marine supplement manufacturers determine the blend of calcium, carbonate, and trace elements in their premixed solutions for you without any way of varying trace levels. But we know that not all aquariums are the same, not all aquariums are "one size fits all". Just add the initial amount of our trace element mix to the calcium and carbonate water, then dose according to use. This ensures that only micro elements are added in the correct ratio of natural seawater based on the absorption of calcium and carbonate in the aquarium. This absorption is mainly determined by the amount of SPS and other hard corals in your aquarium. It takes some time to understand.

Fine-tune the amount of tracks added to each based on growth, color, and vitality. In a short time you will add microelements to the optimal ratio for your aquarium.

Bring the calcium to a concentration level of 100,000 ppm. In 1 liter of 100,000 ppm of calcium water add 2 ml of Coral Power Trace-A and 2 ml of Coral Power Trace-B. Optimize the amount of Power Trace as needed to get the best results for your aquarium. Dose the solution according to the absorption / utilization of calcium.
Bring alkalinity (carbonate) to a concentration level of 100,000 ppm. In 1 liter of 100,000 ppm of carbonate water add 2 ml of Coral Power Trace-C. Optimize the amount of Power Trace as needed to get the best results for your aquarium. Dose the solution according to the consumption / use of Alkalinity (Carbonate).
