Our Coral Essentials Coral Power Iron is a concentrated blend of iron for saltwater aquariums. It is essential for zooxanthellae photosynthesis, promoting healthy macroalgae growth and enhanced green coloration in corals. Iron is also a basic element used in bacterial metabolism which is part of various physiological processes that occur in marine aquariums. It can help with enzyme functionality. Iron can be rapidly depleted in high bacterial mass systems. To ensure healthy SPS corals, zooxanthellae balance, and healthy macroalgae and bacterial functions, maintain a dosing schedule as described below. Variations above and below the recommended dosage can be made based on the conditions of the aquarium and the density of the corals present. Our Coral Power iron contains iron at a concentration of 100,000 ppm.
Dosage: we recommend starting to dose 1 drop / day for every 100 liters of water. If the results are good and based on the density of the coral, it can be steadily increased to 2 drops / day over a period of about a month. Do not apply a dose greater than 2 drops / day for every 100 l of water in a manual dosing system.
For the advanced aquarist 0.1ml (2 drops) will increase iron levels by 0.1ppm (mg / L) for every 100L of water. If you know how fast your iron is depleted, dose accordingly.
