Coral Essentials Carbonate + Trace

It is a concentrated source of liquid carbonate, 100,000 ppm (mg / L) or 5,600dKH and our unique blend of trace elements.

We have added Coral Power Trace C elements into this mix using our proven Coral Essentials dosing method. When using Carbonate + Trace it is not necessary to add additional trace elements unless you have a high density SPS system. It is mainly mixed for a medium density SPS system, so aquarists with high density SPS aquariums may want to add additional Coral Power Trace C in this solution at the required density. Start with another 0.25ml of each C track and see the results, increase from there as required. Alkalinity (KH) levels in saltwater aquariums should be checked regularly to determine absorption in the system. Simply calculate dosing requirements based on the exhaustion rate. Once this is determined, a regular check of the alkalinity levels should be carried out. Your aquarium will change over time as coral grows, as new pieces are added and also carbonate-absorbing invertebrates. We have found ideal KH levels of around 8-9 dKH for most aquariums.

Levels of 8.5 - 9.0 dKH are desirable if it is desired to maintain high growth levels in a dominant SPS and hard coral system.
